What are Tarts?

A tart is made out of wax and scented just like a candle but there is no wick. Many refer to them as tarts, melts, wax potpourri..etc. Tarts come in many different sizes and shapes and are highly fragrant. In order to use your tarts you will need a tart warmer. There are electric styles and tea light styles to choose from, you can find them at your local gift shops, department stores and online such eBay or tartburners.com

You will need to place the tart in the top of your warmer and then after placing a tea light in the bottom the heat will then melt the wax and will release the fragrance. Since there is no wick involved with tarts, the wax will never be consumed but you will notice the fragrance will fade. Once you can no longer smell the fragrance you will then need to use a new tart. To clean out your old tart from your warmer, make sure the wax is cold and in solid form and then push it out with your thumb. If it does not come out that way, place the warmer in your freezer for about 10 minutes and then it will easily pop out. The tarts I sell on my website will come packaged in a cello bag tied with homespun unless stated differently in the description. A batch = 1/2lb of wax unless stated otherwise in the description. The wax that I use for my candles and tarts is a paraffin blend. I do not make Soy tarts at this time.

Tips for storing your wax Tarts

The bags that I use for my tarts is polypropylene, this type of bag is recommended for storing tarts and will not diminish or affect the fragrance. I do not recommend after receiving your tarts that you store them in any other types of bags or containers if you want to maintain the freshness and longevity of your tarts:) I also recommend that you store the tarts out of the sunlight, leaving them exposed to direct sunlight will make the color fade and you also face the risk of scent evaporation. A cool enclosed space such as a cabinet/cupboard is preferable. Please also note that there are some fragrances that will discolor no matter what, some blueberry types and vanilla based fragrances. If you follow these tips you will see that your tarts will thank you with scenting enjoyment for many many months:)

Forms of Payment Accepted

All forms of payments are processed via paypal along with Major credit cards thru paypal will be accpeted and money orders. Canadian forms of payment shall be paypal only. No personal checks will be accepted.

Shipping

The shipping cost will be actual. There are times that my shopping cart will overcharge the shipping amount, if that occurs I will issue you a refund. Methods of shipping include Priority Mail, and Flat Rate Priority Mail along with UPS. If your order qualifies for priority flat rate shipping and is cheaper in cost I will refund the difference to you. Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will be notified via email with a delivery confirmation number. Please be sure to include your complete address when placing your order, Crosscreek Country Candles will not be held responsible for an incomplete shipping address and for delay or loss of packages.

How long does it take to process orders?

All orders placed thru my website will be processed/made in the order which they are received. If you are sending payment by mail, your order will be processed upon receipt of payment. Paypal e-checks will not be processed until your payment clears. I strive to make all orders in a timely fashion! In most cases your order will be processed within 2-3 days, larger orders may take longer but I will always have a turn around time listed on my homepage. The turn around time will not include weekends and holidays.

Cancellation of an Order

If you need to cancel your order, a 20% cancellation fee will be charged in accordance with the total of your order. You may only cancel an order within 24 hours of placing your order.

Returns and exchanges:
Crosscreek Country Candles does not accept returns or make exchanges. No exceptions. All sales are final.
